STOCKTON — After a year and a half of anticipation and scrutiny, the country’s first city-led guaranteed income pilot doled out its first round of monthly stipends last week.
Some 100 residents throughout Stockton received a debit card containing $500 in funds from the Stockton Economic Empowerment Demonstration.
