Gary Mayor Jerome Prince and Burgess Peoples, executive director of GIVE, will be making the calls to notify 125 residents they will be part of a guaranteed income validation effort and will receive a $500 a month gift for 12 months.
Peoples said she expects to receive the list of residents from the Center for Guaranteed income Research from the University of Pennsylvania.
