Gloucestershire has been reacting to a radical new UK benefits proposal – and locals are divided in their opinions.
An action group has called for Universal Credit to be dropped and a new benefit to be brought in with a drastic increase in payments .
The radical proposals, which have not been costed, would see all adults get a "Guaranteed Decent Income" of at least £163.50 a week, even if they are not actively looking for work, the Mirror reports.
