It doesn’t matter if all the evidence shows it to lower costs elsewhere, their are just some people completely opposed to the ideology of giving away ‘free’ money to alleviate the stresses of the poorer amongst us. There’s also a lot more evidence that legalising some drugs would also save a lot of money, but again it’s an ideological position for some people and no amount of evidence to the contrary will persuade them.
