Guildford council calls for a basic income for everyone regardless of their employment status

A Finnish trial gave recipients nearly £500 a month Guildford Borough Council is calling for the Government to trial a Universal Basic Income (UBI) in the borough.

A UBI would provide a regular cash income to every resident without means testing, so regardless of their employment status or whatever other resources they may have.
