The Halifax Regional Council will discuss the idea of a federally guaranteed liveable basic income at its Tuesday meeting.
Count Wei Mason, who represents Halifax South Downtown, put forward a motion that calls on the council to request a letter from the mayor to the prime minister, ministers and the prime minister of Nova Scotia.
