Hawaii will evaluate how to best implement a basic income at the state level. Chris Lee, a Hawaii representative, worked with his colleagues to get his resolution passed unanimously in both of Hawaii’s state legislatures. The passage of his resolution is the first step towards eventually implementing universal basic income at the state level.
Mr. Lee shared the news with Reddit and thanked users of the social media platform because its members propelled him to think about the idea.
