I was against universal basic income at first. Because I didn’t like the idea of being given something for free. My identity in a way, was directly based upon my work. I really do not have any hobbies. I would not know what I would do if I didn’t had work. I would be extremely bored. I wanted to be able to be proud of providing for myself, from earning money for work I did. If there was universal basic income, it would take away all that from me, I thought.
