(DC File Photo) BENGALURU: Stating that his government is committed to initiate steps to check migration of people from rural areas to cities to get better education for their children, Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar on Friday said that public schools would be opened in 6,600 gram panchayats of the State in the coming years in collaboration with corporate companies such as Wipro, Infosys among others while 2,000 public schools would be constructed in the three years.
