Suzuki declined remuneration Much opinion is being expressed in the media with respect to David Suzuki. I believe the following facts are relevant to this public debate.

In 1984-85, I accepted a short-term contract with the office of the federal secretary of state for science and technology, Tom Siddon. My responsibilities included helping the members of that office develop informed, coherent policy. This required that they be exposed to a broad range of perspectives.
