Laurie Scott, MPP of Haliburton-Kawartha Lakes-Brock and Minister of Labour, isn’t talking to the media about the recent cancellation of the basic income pilot project.
On Tuesday, Scott’s office told The Highlander to contact Kristen Tedesco, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services. But Scott has been recently quoted by other media outlets as saying the Liberal-implemented program would be too expensive to expand to the rest of the province.
