'Much could be gained': Councillor urges people to give universal basic income a chance

A councillor has urged Hull residents to give universal basic income a chance to be piloted in the city and told them there’s "nothing to be lost".

Councillor Jack Haines has said the radical new welfare benefit could "transform the city" and has urged residents to now get behind it.
