I can appreciate that these economists are trying to communicate their research through the popular press, but I was baffled by this moronic comment: "If the goal is to get people back to work, then UBI, again, is a terrible policy." Obviously getting people back to work isn’t the goal of UBI and nobody claims that it is, not even Andrew Yang. So why would these economists strong economists crumble to the point of using clichés on "getting people back to work" in an opinion piece?
