Peterborough businesses claim $15 minimum wage hike could result in job cuts

Peterborough businesses are registering their concern about a proposed minimum wage hike. As the Ontario government considers raising the minimum wage from $11.40 to $15 in 2019, some local business owners are raising red flags, and say the wage hike could lead to job cuts.

The Fair Workplaces, Better Jobs Act (Bill 148), tabled earlier this year, proposes the wage hike that has caught some businesses off guard.
