Shadow Chancellor, John McDonnell Labour would trial a universal basic income in Sheffield if it wins power, shadow chancellor John McDonnell has revealed.
Pilot schemes would be held in Liverpool, Sheffield and the Midlands, Mr McDonnell told the Mirror.
