Two hundred low-income city residents could be the recipients of $500 in unrestricted monthly cash assistance for two years if Pittsburgh City Council gives a final nod of approval next week.
That outcome is likely as the body gave an affirmative committee vote Wednesday on transferring $2.5 million of federal COVID-19 relief dollars to the nonprofit OnePGH to administer the pilot program, which the mayor’s office has dubbed the Assured Cash Experiment PGH, or AcePGH.
