Portugal has a “unique opportunity” to make a “leap in productivity” and close the gap with the EU and US averages by 2030 using the rapid adoption of automation and artificial intelligence (AI), a McKinsey study released on Monday concluded.
“The adoption of this technology could be a great opportunity for Portugal,” said Duarte Begonha, a partner at McKinsey & Company.
