If you’re a motion picture projectionist in California your days on the job are likely numbered, soon to be gobbled up by automation.
A new report using Bureau of Labor Statistics data ranks the job as the state’s fastest declining occupation, falling 90% between 2009 and 2018 to 160 employees in 2018 compared with 1,530 in 2009. That’s 1,370 jobs lost, and the automation probability for that position is 97%, according to the study from Commercial Cafe .
