San Francisco Sued Over Its Tax-Payer Funded Handouts to Black, Hispanic Transgender Residents

AP Photo/Jacquelyn Martin San Francisco residents are suing the city over a landmark program that will provide guaranteed cash to low-income Black and Hispanic transgender people who identify as "female," causing several to question whether this is legal.

The nonprofit legal group Judicial Watch filed a lawsuit in the San Francisco Superior Court challenging the Guaranteed Income for Trans People (GIFT) program on behalf of three hard-working taxpayers. The lawsuit alleges that it violates California law by discriminating based on race, ethnicity, sex, and gender identity.
