Modelling suggests plans would be "progressive, affordable and halve destitution"

The Scottish Government should deliver on its basic income proposals by giving every adult an ‘initial’ £2,400 a year, a new report urges.

And raising this to £4,800 over successive parliaments would completely eliminate destitution in Scotland, which affects around 52,875 households a year, the RSA/RSA Scotland argues.
