The Universal Basic Income (UBI) guarantees every adult an income. The Job Guarantee (JG) provides employment to everyone willing and able to work. I argue that while both policies claim significant benefits, the JG is better able to ensure a wide distribution of opportunities for the realisation of important non-financial goods.
