FILE: $100 bills. (NEXSTAR) SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – The Shreveport City Council approved a resolution Tuesday supporting a privately funded guaranteed income pilot program to provide direct cash payments of at least $600 a month for one year to more than 100 households in the city starting in December.
The money is unconditional. There are no work requirements and no restrictions on how the money can be spent.
