The program, also known as GIFT, is solely focused on helping low-income transgender adults over the age of 18 who reside in the City and County of San Francisco.

HOUSTON ( KIAH ) — The state of Texas has sued Harris County over its guaranteed basic income program, saying it violates the state’s Constitution.

Texas is suing to keep Harris County from making payments under the program. The hearing for that decision will take place in the next few weeks.

‘Denver Basic Income Project’ Gets Six-Month Extension

After rounding up enough funding for a six-month extension, staff at the Denver Basic Income Project continue to help participants find stability, including permanent housing and secure jobs.

The organization is providing another round of no-strings-attached cash assistance to people who have experienced homelessness in Denver, distributing funding to more than 600 participants.
