Remaking the Economy
There is one aspect of universal basic income that Nathan Heller didn’t touch on in his article (A Critic at Large, July 9th & 16th). Because people would no longer need to live where the jobs are, a U.B.I. would represent a redistribution not simply from the wealthy few to the masses but also from geographical areas of concentrated wealth to, really, anywhere else.
