Can someone please explain to me why universal basic income would be better than our current welfare system? I hear a lot of free marketers argue in favor of basic income as an alternative to regular welfare as saying it’s a more market based approach because it gets the government out of the recipients decisions on how they can spend their welfare money so that the recipient can use it toward furthering their education investing in the economy or starting a business and I can see why it would be so in theory but it’s placing way too much […]
