NEW DELHI: With a few weeks left for finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman to announce the Union Budget for the financial year 2023-24, experts are seeking a substantial rejig in personal income tax slabs, which were left unchanged last year.
This will be the last full year budget of Modi 2.0 government.
Many experts have urged the government to increase the basic exemption limit from Rs 2.5 lakh to Rs 5 lakh.
