News United Way of Broome County has partnered with 211 Susquehanna River Region and Broome County DSS to offer free tax preparation services to locals through the IRS approved tax program, Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (also known as VITA).
By way of the VITA program, IRS certified volunteers assist qualified individuals with basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing at no cost .
