I just listened to Sam’s interview with Charles Murray. The worry for technological unemployment is mentioned and the solution of a universal basic income. I agree that having higher general intelligence means one is more capable of productive work and therefore gives one an advantage of making an income. What isn’t mentioned in the podcast is that our system isn’t a meritocracy. Or it’s only a partial one.
