These are arguments for basic income, not against.
Point 1. Because the basic income isn’t tied to earnings, there is no scenario where you’ll be better off staying unemployed, unlike under the current benefits system. Sure, some people will decide that the BI is good enough, but many more will be hoping to boost that with some earnings.
