Universal Basic Income is being considered by the Government of Canada

Canada is taking a step toward making universal basic income a reality.
According to a press release from the office of Ontario Senator Kim Pate, the Senate National Finance Committee will study a bill on October 17 that would create a national framework for a UBI – but not actually implement it.
