I fear the backlash will be overwhelming and it will go the way of Thatcher’s Poll tax. On the face of it a fantastic idea, but in practice it was unacceptable.
It uses to piss me off monumentally that mates earning loas more money than me paid no tax for public services because they lived at home with mum an dad, yet at 21 I had to pay a ton for the same services as a homeowner. With kids living at home till they are past 30 these days, it still pisses me off.
