Jane Hutt, Minister for Social Justice The basic income pilot which has been tested in Wales for young people who have grown up in care will end in May 2025 when the two-year pilot programme, finishes, the Welsh Government has confirmed. Under the scheme, 635 young adults who grew up in local authority care or foster care are entitled to £1,600 a month.
