Special to The Times 1. Mayor Adrian Perkins is not petty. In my last column I criticized his handling of Police Chief Ben Raymond. The mayor responded with a pleasant call. Though it appears he has no intentions of removing Raymond, I was left with a positive impression of the mayor, so much so that I’m happy to endorse his senatorial run. Whether one believes him humble or manipulative, this is a great trait in a senator.
