As of July 2021, the Public Policy Institute of California ranked Yolo County’s combined poverty ranking as the highest in California.
Out of 58 counties, Yolo County currently has the deepest poverty rate based on a recent survey of data from 2017 to 2019. The study found that the county has 20.9% of residents living in poverty, Nolan Sullivan, interim director of the Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA), told the Yolo County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday.
