Mark Donovan said he saw people unemployed and lost their salaries during the pandemic, but his bank account balance only rose. He started giving out money in Denver.

Donovan, the entrepreneur and founder of Bali-based Wooden Ships clothing company, wants to take the newly established Denver Basic Income project one step further.

Last month, Right by the Bay reviewed the findings of a new study touted by former Stockton Mayor Michael Tubbs reportedly showing the success of the city’s universal basic income scheme.

The goal is to get Boris Johnson’s UK Government to U-Turn on Universal Basic Income (UBI). This is done by leaflet dropping in multiple ex Red Wall seats that the Tories won in the December 2019 General Election. Red Wall Tory voters are predominately working class and still left of centre on money issues. The Conservative government cannot afford to lose these voters.
