In February of this year, the basic income program was officially launched, which will give a sum of 500,000 pesos per month to families in situations of extreme poverty; as one of the measures that Colombia requires is “possibility of world life”, an initiative announced by President Gustavo Peters during the campaign.
According to what was said by this in the Social Welfare, the program will allow more than 3 million families to receive income above the poverty line, enough to fight hunger, to gradually achieve economic autonomy and access to the enjoyment of basic rights.
