Chicago (CBS) — On Thursday, the City Council held a hearing on possible pilot programs to help low-income Chicago citizens recover from financial emergencies through a guaranteed base income.
Similar pilot programs in other US cities typically offer about $ 500 in cash to about 125 people for a limited time, untied.
