Not so long ago, a very strong wave of so-called guaranteed income spilled over the world. It was a response to the ever-increasing long-term unemployment facing the entire European Union and, on the other hand, to the search for the necessary workers, which are nowhere to be found. It now appears that similar considerations may quickly return to the agenda due to the consequences of coronavirus limitations. But the big question is whether this is really a meaningful solution to the social problems of economies or just an instrument of pure populism in the hands of powerful politicians.
