By partnering with Northwestern University , the city of Evanston in Illinois has launched a universal basic income program called the Guaranteed Income Pilot Program , which will provide 150 households with 500 dollars per month for one year.
The aim of the program to study the impacts of guaranteed income and will provide researchers at North Western University a first hand account of a beneficiaries’ experiences after receiving this stimulus check.
