Los Angeles County’s Board of Directors will vote Tuesday on a three-year pilot program that will provide $ 1,204 per month to 150 residents of the county, ages 18 to 24.
The money would benefit youth currently receiving general aid and participating in the Department of Public Social Services’ TAYportunity program. Voting comes more than two months after overseers have voted to accept proposals for a guaranteed income pilot program and instructed staff to report on implementation.
