SHARON – Mercer County Housing Authority officials are happy with the financial situation in their first budget since the authority converted its public housing program to a new funding scheme.
With guaranteed income from the federal government for 20 years under the Rental Assistance Demonstration program – without having to wait to see what Congress appropriates every year – officials established a $4.2 million spending plan that shows good cash flow and money to be put aside for future maintenance projects, they said.
