Universal Basic Income is capitalism with floor under which no one can fall. It is a living wage (in USA it would be roughly $1,000 a month) from the government that goes directly into the pockets of each and every citizen (between the ages of 18 and 64).
UBI is becoming increasingly necessary in the developed world as more and more jobs are being taken by robots and automation. An ever growing fraction of the population is going to find themselves without a real place in society if society itself does not change.
