The benefit of UBI is that it’s personally invariable, which therefore wont have an ounce of warping effect on entrepreneurial decision-making.
An NIT also incentivise "cheating" (working illegally and hiding it from the state) to double dip. So now you must fund law enforcement to investigate that too.
