Independent think tank Autonomy has set out a plan for a UBI pilot in Wales which could see 5,000 residents taking part in a 24-month trial.
When the Western Mail approached the Welsh Government for more information, it said key details were still being finalised, but did suggest that the pilot may be directed at people leaving care.
