WeHo poised to launch income pilot for LGBTQ adults

The city of West Hollywood could potentially spend $3 to $4 million annually to add four behavioral health crisis response units. (Beverly Press file photo) Economically vulnerable individuals residing in West Hollywood may soon receive financial support as the city launches a pilot program to dedicate a guaranteed revenue stream to LGBTQ older adults.

In January, the City Council approved plans to join Mayors for a Guaranteed Income, a group of mayors throughout the U.S. advocating for a guaranteed income for members of their communities to care for residents living below the poverty line, particularly during the pandemic.
