Jaw dropping shock turned to consternation turned to disgust turned to resolve. That about sums up the string of emotions that ran through at reading the article in Wednesday’s Standard-Times about one Susie Garza of Stockton CA getting $500 from a nonprofit as a test run of what is, in plain language, “income for not working.”
