San Francisco Creates $1,200 Per Month Guaranteed Income Program for Trans People, 11 Months After Forcing School System to Accept a $125 Million Cut to Prevent a 22-23 City Budget Shortfall

Wow. It’s like they scraped every language on the planet for words that might mean something like “transgender” and dumped them in there. People who have time to sit around and think about their identities to this extent have too much time on their hands. People are fighting for freedom and survival in Ukraine and Iran; here in the US we have non-binary skoliosexual maveriques. It’s embarrassing. That application does make a fun mad-lib type game though.

It’s so bonkers to me that they treat all these roles from various historical cultures (which seems to make up a majority of […]

The proposed targeting of key intersections limits the burden on law enforcement resources, and the discussion of guaranteed income gets to the heart of the issue driving panhandling generally. Two areas of the plan could use some refinement.Issuing citations to panhandlers, […]

Silverman: Balancing expenses vs. income during retirement

I am preparing to retire. No, I’m not retiring anytime soon. But I am a financial planner as well as an investment manager, so I plan. Something as big as retirement needs planning way in advance. Last week we talked about expenses. I have one more thing to add before we look at income: Large future expenses.

It’s amazing how many retirement-spending plans I see which seem to indicate the client is driving their last car. While that might be true, most retirees will buy at least one car before they stop driving. The problem is most of us forget […]

Do Income Programs Work?

Do Income Programs Work?

He was not the only skeptic in his hometown. But these skeptics became believers when their first monthly payment came through. The 125 recipients met an income limit and […]
