The 3.05 million estimate is expected to reach the world’s industrial robots by 2020, from 1.47 million in 2014, or more than double their number in just one six-year period, according to the International Robotics Federation- IFR).
In 2018, robots established in industries and other businesses are expected to reach 2.32 million. The average annual growth of installed industrial robots over the period 2017-2020 is estimated at 14%, compared to an annual rate of 12% in 2011-2016.
